You Get the Idea:
Our idea for our Refresh the World is to set up an organization that puts clubs in schools. These clubs will allow traditional education middle and high school students to interact time with special education kids in their school. It will let these kids spend time during homeroom, study hall, and lunch periods. Regular education teens will learn more about being a special education student including the struggles and positives. They will also gain more diversity, learning how to help and befriend different peers. Special education teens will gain new social skills. They will be able to interact with regular education students, instead of just teachers. This organization will be called The Involve Project.

Goal:
Beside the social gain and being able to make new and different friends, the Involve Project would have many benefits. We want to encourage teens to be more involved with each other. We hope the Involve Project would allow cliques to be more inclusive. Just inviting a different student to eat lunch with you can make a change, small steps. Our hopes would be to widen the views of exclusive or close minded teens.
We also want to get teens thinking about others, not just themselves. Helping out and problem solving as a team will help them in life. Setting up activities and gaining new responsibilities, The Involve Project will help students in the many years to come. There might be a few bumps in the road, but the experiences and learning will make it worth it!
